Our Story Began with a Commitment to Accessible Financing
How a company built in 1984 opened the door to financing for the people of Antigua and Barbuda, and never closed it.
Finance and Development Company Ltd. was established in 1984 to finance vehicles sold by our sister company, Hadeed Motors Ltd. At the time, the average person felt shut out, as financing for everyday necessities was simply not available from the commercial banks. FDC changed that immediately, and in doing so, helped transform the transportation industry and open new opportunities across the Antigua and Barbuda economy.
That impact is still felt today. FDC enabled many enterprising nationals to start their own businesses and partnered with them as they grew. The motor car rental segment of our tourism industry, one of the few that remains entirely in local hands, exists in large part because FDC made it possible.
As a member of the Hadeed Group of Companies, we carry the Hadeed Family's commitment to lasting relationships, reflected in the loyal repeat business our customers have shown us for four decades.
